John & the band exceeded all expectations. John was very responsive, flexible, and creative throughout the planning process. John pulled together musicians and equipment to serve our needs, as we had requested strings for our ceremony, a jazz combo for cocktail hour, and a full band with vocals and horns for our reception. They play a fantastic set that matches and influences the energy of the reception throughout the night. With tech specialists on site, there were no audio disruptions or feedback issues. The evening flowed seamlessly between music and dialogue. You are allowed to create a playlist of recorded music for background music between performances and speeches; this allowed us to play music the band may not have had on their set list, and it kept the evening moving smoothly. The band even allowed and coordinated a surprise for us: our best man secretly requested to join the band and play his saxophone with them, which was a highlight of the night! At the end of the night, the horn players even led us out to our getaway car with a swingin’ march. Couldn’t have been better!
