Stay away. Tuning alone may be OK but that's where it stops. Workmanship is the worst I've ever seen to the point that it borders on neglect. Some of the work and issues:
1. New LT headers - Exhaust leaks up front as well as where the headers met the rest of the exhaust. Rattling from where my my QTP electric cutouts were loosened (for what reason? I don't know because all the work I paid for was up front). He fixed the rattling and claimed it was already loose which was impossible because the rattling was very noticeable and the bolts had been on the car for a year. If i wouldn't have noticed the rattle, one of my friends would've at any car meet that year.
2. New E-85 tune - It took six return visits in two weeks to resolve multiple error codes from standard CEL to park assist disabled to stabilitrack disabled, to rear facing camera errors. When i mentioned it to him initially he claimed my car was too low. Again, I'd never had an issue with my car in the 2.5 years i'd owned it up to that point. And i bought it lowered on coilovers. Eventually he tweaked something in the tune which stabilized the car and again, I cut my losses with everything else I dealt with and/or corrected myself.
3. Pillar gauges - After my last visit, he got my NEW gauges working 100%. Or so I thought. Right before I arrived at home, my wideband sensor died. He sent me a new one at least but I installed it myself because I had lost too many hours already driving to his shop and waiting 3hr round trip commute each visit + waiting for any work to be done + any new long winded theory he would give me regarding the root cause of the issue.
4. Spark Plugs - Something as simple as sparkplugs were done incorrectly. Whoever installed these, they used the wrong ones - plugs for an LS3 on my LT1 motor. The LS3 ones are a little bit shorter so they fit but performance wasn't optimal. I found this out after taking my car to another (truly reputable) shop in Schaumburg.
I hope this helps save someone's wallet and stress level. Go somewhere else.
Lastly, It may not seem like it by my review but I consider myself a very tolerant person and I tip damn near everyone who performs a service. So much that it's to a fault. I gave Joe the benefit of the doubt enough to drive back over six times in 2 weeks. I didn't lose my temper or disrespect. But enough was enough.
