Got the placer gold rear axles for my jeep JK. On 35" tires still managed to bend one. They told me to pound sand, basically they wrote the warranty to avoid any responsibility and they do not stand behind their product. Wasn't too thrilled to replace a failed component on my jeep with another one that was bound to fail anyway so didn't fight them too hard on it. Even so, they say built in the US but I suspect they are sourcing their steel from China.

Do not buy their axles!!!!! I had bought a Core 44 front axle of my tj jeep. 3 weeks later the weld plug on the housing started leaking. This company has now gone out of commission and there is no way to reach out to them. Now I'm stuck with a defected front axle and they won't replace it.

I purchased a G2 Axle from 4WheelParts, who installed it along with new bearings and seals.
4WheelParts and G2 touts that these axles are made from high tensile strength 4340 Chrome Molly that is heat-treated twice to produce these heavy-duty axles that are up to 40% stronger!
Well guess what, someone along the line forgot to properly heat treat and QA this particular Axle. As you can see from the attached photograph, it looks like someone used a Lathe and machined a fairly deep groove in the axle bearing surface.
The axle bearing itself is in great shape, no heat marks, not frozen, and spines freely (see attached photograph).
Everything in the rear was brand-new! You can only imagine the amount of metal that was in all the gears and bearings.
Sadly enough, 4WheelParts turned a blind eye to the situation. Knowing they, 4wheelParts, were on a major campaign to peddle G2 Axles here lately, I would strongly recommend that anyone who has purchased these axles perform a periodic check to insure you don’t run into the same situation.

Waste of money , very poor quality and very bad after sale service.
The guaranty of 10 years is not exist , they are mocking the buyers. I purchase a pair of ring and pinion (4.88) from an official dealer of G2 and they deny to cover the damage and even worst they didn't reply my mails.
To advertise a guarantee of 10y and not to provide it is a SCAM.

I had a plan this summer to upgrade the front axle house of the jk with a G2 part but now .....NO. There are many other better choices.

I am very disappointed of existing so bad "professionals".

Complete core 44's. Be warned, I bought front and rear complete Core 44's and the front placer axle was an inch too long. Been waiting two weeks for an explanation so just ended up cutting it. Also the splines weren't cut deep enough on one outer, so had to get a replacement. I've been left confused as to what part was engineered?
Also the paint is sub-par. Whilst the centre is powdercoated, the tubes and ears are painted without primer. Just touch this stuff and it falls off.
Finishing off positive, now that they're in I don't reckon they'll be an issue. But id buy a teraflex if doing it again.

Terrible quality and G2 doesn't stand behind their products. I unfortunately bought the Core 44 last year. This is a very poorly constructed and design axle and G2 does not stand behind it. I would not use it first of all if your tires are bigger than 35". I have 37" and the outter axle shaft (claimed to be chromoly by G2) has broke twice and G2 won't warranty it. Also, they had defective plug welds in the housing that they've since "rectified" but those of us with the earlier model are stuck getting it fixed ourself. If you do any type of serious wheeling or want >35" tires this Core 44 is NOT for you. SInce I'm already stuck with it, rather than buy yet another new set of Placer Gold shafts from G2 I'm putting in RCV's. They stand behind their shafts with a lifetime warranty.

I had an issue with not getting bolts with a cover I ordered thru a 3rd party that was giving me the runaround. The G2 support team were fantastic!! They got me the bolts I needed in a timely manner and kept constant communication with me thru the process. Highly recommend!!!

Well it’s been three months and I have been told 3 different times my front axle is being sent out and not true so tired of being lied to. I will never do business with g2 axles ever again. Save your self time and money and buy a pro rock or look up fusion. G2 Will wast your time and money. They are always more then happy to take 5,000$ from you but never happy to give it back. Beyond fed up and tired of the run around stories
