I’ve been going to this practice for almost 10 years.
This year my place of employment changed our vision insurance and apparently they don’t take it here.
They waited until the day of the appointment to tell me and charged me a $50 cancellation fee for my trouble.
Nice to know they value loyal customers.

Edit- I am aware it is my responsibility to make sure they take my insurance. However, they called me in the middle of my work day and only asked me to update my insurance.
It was NOT stated that they couldn’t find it. They DID NOT tell me that it may be because it wasn’t accepted.
This is something they should have checked and verified with me when I made my appointment 90 days in advance.

I'm a little surprised by all the negative reviews. I went to see them today for my first appointment and found them to be pleasant, professional and thorough. I left with a copy of my prescription, and felt no pressure to get my lenses from their office, but was told I can come back and do so, if I chose.

After being treated less than human by the receptionist over a month ago. I was told even though my insurance paid for my prescription for my glasses they refused to release the prescription. Now after a month of paying for my contact lense prescription. I am still not allowed to have that prescription. Seriously. 45 year old woman having the receptionist roll her eyes at me at treat me like absolute garbage!! Office manager encouraged the behavior and I can still not get my contact lenses!!! Disgusting. Be careful who you give your business to. Being treated like garbage was way to familiar with this group.Based on all your most recent reviews sounds like your office manager is incompetent and needs to go! I’ve paid for it!!!! Get rid of you receptionist staff as well! I get treated better at McDonalds! I’m a patient not someone buying a cheeseburger!!!!! Oh and I did my glasses prescription. Basically someone in the office saw the ramped insurance fraud and helped them not have lawsuit filed. But there is still potential based on the paid for contact lenses. Unfortunately the office manager responded without even so much of an apology for the poor treatment I received from her and the staff. I could understand if I were belligerent or even just mean. That wasn’t the case. This manager and her staff lack accountability and professionalism. Period. And on top of the poor treatment and the straight up lie the office manager told me when I went in. They took my money and refuse to give me the prescription!!! Please be advised. I never made a follow up appointment. I was told one would be made when I came back and paid. No worries. Every intention to do so. Unfortunately life sometimes isn’t convenient. I’m not a sob story person. So I won’t get into the logistics of that. Regardless I would have made it right with this business. Unfortunately the business purposely misled me without honorable, honest intentions. Who would have thought $70.00 dollars would have created such entitlement and abuse.

Dr Reed is the absolute best eye doctor I've ever seen (and I've been to many). I just love her personality, but aside from that, she has fixed every eye complaint I've had when many doctors couldn't. She didn't feel comfortable with the results she was getting one day so she asked me to come back the next day and gave me a whole new examination for free just to get a sure reading. I'm so glad to find such a good doctor and will be very sad if she ever retires! Thanks Dr. Reed, Amy Rader

I couldn’t be more disappointed with the service provided by Jennifer Shane & Associates. We have been patients since they were operated out of the LensCrafters store over 10 years ago and moved with them when they opened the new office. My daughter’s contact prescription expired (we had purchased a long supply of contacts) and when we needed to order more they refused to work with us in any way. The next appointment was weeks and weeks out and she just needed one pair to get her over the hump until the appointment. They acted as though we were trying to get a narcotic and not a pair of contacts. They have seen her for years and know her eye health is good and there was no change in her vision. Just disappointed they wouldn’t work with loyal patients. We won’t be returning.

I was a happy customer here for many years, but after the recent disability discrimination I experienced, they have lost me as a patient.
Do not choose this office for your eye health if you have any sort of chronic illness that could potentially cause you to cancel an appointment on the day-of, because they will charge you the cancellation fee, with no exceptions for illness (unless it’s something contagious, of course).
Please do not condone ableism. Chose a different eye-care facility.

Dr Shane and Associates is the “bomb”. I’m so impressed by the quality of service. Friendliness of all the members of their team. And can we talk about efficiency, I was in and out in record time, but never felt rushed. You just got to transfer your eye care here, I mean you should truly run to this place, before the word gets out, because I have a feeling they wouldn’t have any more appointment times as soon as people find out how wonderful it is.
