The selection is incredible, the prices compete well against big chains considering selection. And the owner is the absolute nicest guy and is incredibly knowledgeable and will help you find anything you are looking for and offer great suggestions. He knows his store and selection incredibly well and it feels great to support such a great local business.

I hate this place so much! Joking of course, but the selection is TOO GOOD it’s frustrating! There are too many choices! Things change out pretty frequently too. I can never decide what to get, and either leave wondering what a beer I was thinking about getting tastes like, knowing I’ll probably never see it again, or spending like $100 and getting everything I was interested in.

Of course these are great problems to have and this is hands down the absolute best beer store I have ever been to anywhere in the country. It’s insane.

You will not be disappointed if you go there, but you might have decision paralysis!

When you visit someone's house, and they ask you if you want a beer, if you say, "Mmmm maybe...what do you have," and you have an existential crisis if all they have is Shiner, Corona, Blue Moon, etc because your taste buds are ruined by next level beer.....this is the place for you. They have EVERYTHING-just as much as Specs or any big name liquor store. It's just not labeled as well and you have to rummage around through all the stacks of amazing, rare beers.

Initially, I didn't want to review it because it felt like my precious little Gollum secret, but I need to show some love to the small businesses in my hood. Richardson beer snobs rejoice-this is the spot. Also, they have small specials like a rewards program and 5% off of 6 loose cans. The owner is knowledgeable and will always have recommendations if you're not a seasoned beer enthusiast. 5 stars!

First sentence from their website: "We are committed to providing you with the broadest selection of top shelf beer & wine at the most reasonable prices around." The Firestone Walker Parabola retails for $9.99, at the brewer's web site, Total Wine and Central Market. Richardson Beer and Wine has theirs marked $11. When I politely pointed this out, the gentleman behind the counter said that I "should go buy it from them". Perhaps not the best sentiment to gain customers. Central Market was not far away. I saved $7 and had a pleasant experience.
Richardson Beer and Wine has a great selection of premium beer. I would have been delighted to do business with them, even at a 10% premium. It just doesn't feel good paying the premium and being addressed in a disrespectful tone.

Yes! You should stop by and see what craft beer they’ve got on the shelves!

The prices are fantastic for the variety that they have, it took me a good bit of time to decide what I wanted due to their selection and non markup prices.

This place has a nice selection of beer and wine! I would say it's better than whole foods. I was surprised by how knowledgeable the person attending the store was about the inventory. They have all the usual suspects from deep ellum brewing, new Holland brewing, voodoo Ranger, revolver, rar and son's and various singles. If you are in richardson I don't think you have a better place.
