I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Diff Shop in Colorado Springs, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the service I received. Needed my rear diff rebuilt on my work truck. From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and professional. They took the time to thoroughly explain the issues with my vehicle and provided a detailed breakdown of the necessary repairs.

The quality of workmanship was outstanding. My car now runs smoother than ever, and the repairs were completed ahead of schedule. The team at The Diff Shop clearly takes pride in their work and goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.

This is the place to go! For starters, the owner test drove my truck to get an idea of what the issue was and he immediately knew! From there he sourced gears from a California dealership and got me scheduled. Ford said the gears were out of stock locally and I’d be waiting. Not with the Diff Shop! Not only was it $1,000 cheaper than Ford, the service was top notch! The owner will explain in great detail what the issue is and why it happened. Turn around for me was a day and my truck is smooth and quiet! If you’re looking for a differential repair shop, you have to take your vehicle here!

Just wanted to thank everyone at the diff shop for taking care of me. I blew my rear diff on the way to Leadville for a deer hunt last week. I called another local shop, but they were booked up and recommended them. They were able to get my Jeep in on Tues after a holiday weekend and had it ready to go on Weds afternoon, knowing I had an emergency. They were also able to rectify a driveshaft issue I had as well. Jeep also seems to be much quieter and is running like a champ. They even repainted my diff cover and added new bolts....bonus!!!

Darold / Heather and crew have done 10 - 15 differentials for me over the last several years (I am a repair shop owner) and I hold them in high regard. The work is done quickly, efficiently, and fairly priced. An issue or two over the many years but always handled immediately and with a smile. You won't find better. Highly recommend.

Outside Woodland Park, CO I was out 4 wheeling when I completely blew up my 2006 Tacoma's rear end. Every shop locally was booked 30 days out to just look at it, the shops in the next town over Colorado Springs (20 miles away) were all booked 2-3 weeks out. The diff shop was backed up 22 jobs, but they were also the only name 12 other shops all reference, when asked who would they trust their own vehicles too. I was from out of town and in a bind, the job was way to big and complicated for me to take on. It was important to me to have the best look at it so I had it towed the extra distance.

After 200k miles, the Diff shop is the only shop I've trusted to work on my truck for anything other than tires. This team was incredible, they got it diagnosed, repaired and back to me 2 weeks ahead of their estimated schedule. They were upfront and honest about all my options to get it repaired. Darryl listen and answered all my probing questions, and saved the parts for me to inspect. He made me feel comfortable about the job. It has now been a month and 1600 miles later it is riding like a dream. There are a lot of hacks out there, quite a few techs, but very few craftsmen and that's when you need Darryl. I highly recommend the Diff shop and wouldn't go any where else for differential repairs.

Without hesitation, my general mechanic recommended Darold for a leaking trans seal and accompanying Chevy yoke clunk. The work came in under estimate and ahead of schedule. After 900 miles including a trip out to Grand Junction and back (Vail pass out, Monarch pass back to the Springs), the clunk and leak never came back and the shifting is spot-on. Also wanted to add that Sylvia, who runs the front, took my cryptic description of the issue and knew exactly what I was talking about, which was awesome/appreciated/gave me further confidence in the shop. Sorry, I couldn't challenge your decades of experience, Darold, LOL!!

Update 9/15/2023: Just came back from 3,000+ mile trip out to Northern Michigan and back - solid as a rock!
